About Artist
Samuel is a 33 year old Singer/songwriter in Eastern PA (Bucks County) who's musical style fits in a cross between Acoustic Rock, and Goth. Neither genere completely fits the desciption of his music, but his lyrical imagery is both dark and heartfelt, while his rythmical talent lies on the acoustic/rock side of the spectrum.
Born in Rochester, NY, Samuel began to play music at an early age by banging pots and pans together in the kitchen and singing. At the age of 8 he started learning to play the Drums and had waited till the age of 16 to pick up the guitar and teach himself how to play. Both his parents encouraged him musically to find his own way. He now favors a 12 string guitar named Amber, a set of hand drums, and a Keyboard to express himself musically.
It wasn't till the loss of his sister that he began writing. Flung into a world of darkness and self pity his lyrical design took on a life of it's own. Each of Samuel's songs are written about the pain and suffering he knows best. His own life's struggles.
Samuel made his music his release, and his therapy. As one fan put it "There's something for everyone to relate to within his music..."
Samuel's music didn't start coming together till the fall of 1998 while iving in Fargo, ND. On October 11th of that year (the 6th anniversary of his sister's passing) he wrote "Six Long Years" and soon others followed. Over the course of 3 years, he had written over a dozen songs.
In Early 2004 another life change had hit Samuel's path and he moved to Eastern Pennsylvania, where he currently resides. He is currently involved in the Bucks County/Lehigh Valley Music Scene, and plays at Open Mics quite frequently. He is currently involved in preparing his Next CD for release, sometime in September 2007.
Samuel Storm has had his music played on The Phil Stahl Show (90.3 FM WXLV), 93.7 FM WSTW's Hometown Heroes, WMDR Internet Radio, and Pirate Radio Networks Twisted Radio.
