Behind Enemy Linez (BEL) is a hip hop/rock duo made up of Savage-D (rapper/producer) and Jay Kuest (guitarist/producer). Thought provoking lines, hardcore guitar rifts, capturing hip hop beats and a strong message against injustice define BEL’s music. Savage and Jay were childhood friends that went different ways on their paths in life and music. Savage-D got into music by making beats and producing tracks for MCs that were friends of his. After several years of producing, Savage decided to transition into MCing as well. In Jay Kuest’s teen years he played lead guitar in several punk rock bands and in later years develop a flexible, unique style by collaborating with artists in numerous different genres. In early 2010 the two began experimenting with different combinations of their musical talent until the final creation of Behind Enemy Linez.
