About Band
Atomic Anarchy was formed in 2007 by then Bassist/ Vocalist "Dr." Joel Rowsey and Guitarist/Vocalist "Great" Scott Mattox in the Chemical Valley of Nitro, West Virginia. Rowsey and Mattox recruited Greg Caudill to play drums, and soon after, he left the band for reasons unknown. In the near future, Rob Stoneberger completed the 3-piece punk rock lineup on drums, but he was also soon out. We went through a number of drummers, such as Jon Cowley, Rob Stoneberger, Dave Roberts, and Greg Caudill, but none worked out for us. Joel decided that he wanted to play guitar instead of bass, and recruited explosive and unpredictable guitarist Mr. Shinglebop from the band Wasted Years to play bass and to sing in April, 2010. Stoneberger rejoined the band soon after, and was kicked out due to his drinking problem. Joel soon recruited the insanely talented Atom "The Mad Scientist" Morton from Dr. Mephisto and the Tormented Panty Sniffers to play drums. The lineup has been stable ever since; and AA is stronger than ever. With our unique sound and berserk stage presence, you will NEVER experience a show like Atomic Anarchy's. Book us.
